For many players, Pokémon represents one of the most familiar and recognizable video game experiences: they have been keeping us company for almost 30 years and, despite the time that has passed, they are still very current. Today we find them in collectible card games, in an infinite amount of merchandise, in animated series and, of course, also in the wonderful world of Minecraft, thanks to a mod that more than any other captures the essence of the fusion between these two great titles: the Cobblemon.
This mod manages to integrate the mechanics of both games without distorting their style: the Pokémon are modeled in a blocky way and everything takes place inside the wonderful universe of Minecraft, between a Creeper's explosion and the big-nosed villagers.
It is still a relatively new project and, for this reason, not yet complete; however, thanks to the community, today it is possible to add lots of extra content to the base mod.
It is with this in mind that COBBLEVERSEwas born, a Cobblemon-themed modpack that aims to offer the player the most complete Pokémon experience possible, also proposing a structured adventure with a progression system based on gyms and badges, to experience the world of Minecraft with the same emotion as the original games.
The adventure in COBBLEVERSE begins like every true Pokémon adventure: by choosing our first faithful companion!
You can choose from the starter Pokémon of all 9 existing regions, starting from Kanto and Johto, all the way to Galar and Paldea. But there's a new twist: it's also possible to select exclusive starters, not present in the base Cobblemon mod, from the Pallet and Lumyaregions, created specifically for this modpack and fully integrated into the adventure.
Once you’ve chosen your companion, players receive a Starter Kit with everything they need to begin:
– the Trainer Card,
– the National Pokédex,
– a map to reach the first Kanto gym,
– 10 Poké Balls,
– a backpack,
– 10 Oran Berries,
– a guide to customize their adventure.
Now the adventure can officially begin! The player can decide to embark on the path to become the Champion of all regions, può completare il Pokédex, complete the Pokédex or, of course, do both!
Yes, because COBBLEVERSE, in addition to including the models of all 1,025 existing Pokémon, implements trainers, gym leaders, and Pokémon Leagues, which give a clear and compelling purpose to the entire story.
From the Rock-type Gym Leader Brock to the Team Rocket Boss Giovanni, all the way to the Elite Four and the Champion: COBBLEVERSE, thanks to the introduction of the Radical Cobblemon Trainermod, offers the chance to challenge gym leaders to earn badges and prove your skills as a true Pokémon Trainer..
Every battle is designed to test your strategy, knowledge of types, and ability to manage your team, turning every victory into a true achievement.
At the moment, it is possible to face all the gym leaders from the Kanto, Johto and Hoennregions, and very soon it will also be possible to challenge those of Sinnoh (watch out for Cynthia’s Garchomp!)
The gyms are randomly generated in the world, each in its own biome. It will therefore be essential to always keep an eye on your Trainer Card, which not only allows you to monitor your progress but also to know useful information about each gym leader, such as the level of their Pokémon or the biome they are in.
Now, considering that the world of Minecraft is incredibly vast, to help the player in this search, COBBLEVERSE includes a custom map system: thanks to our "big-nosed" guide, the player can get the maps of all the gyms they need, for each of the available regions, at any time of their adventure.
All you have to do is craft the specific table and place it near the first unfortunate villager and voilà!
The COBBLEVERSE is designed to suit the tastes of as many players as possible, so if you're not interested in following the story or searching for gyms, don't worry: you can still hunt for Pokémon to complete the Pokédex.
Our modpack, in fact, includes all 1,025 existing Pokémon (including their shiny versions), each featuring a blocky model that perfectly matches the visual design of Cobblemon.
This result was made possible thanks to the extraordinary work of the datapack creators and modelers, who chose to give COBBLEVERSE the opportunity to promote their work.

In addition to the inclusion of the models, COBBLEVERSE ensures that all Pokémon are dynamically integrated into the game world. For legendary and mythical Pokémon, we have developed exclusive structures, offering a personalized and engaging exploration and capture experience.
In some cases, it will also be necessary to complete a quest to obtain the item required to make the Pokémon appear: for example, to summon Ho-Oh you need the Rainbow Feather, which can only be obtained by defeating the wise elder located in the Burned Tower.
But the unique features of COBBLEVERSE don’t end here, thanks to the addition of multiple brand-new features.
First of all, the ability to ride more than 200 Pokémon, including flying and aquatic ones, allowing you to fully explore the skies and the ocean depths. Riding a Gyarados, breathing underwater will no longer be a problem!
In addition all 48 official Mega Evolutions and their corresponding Mega Stones are available. Unlike the original games, in COBBLEVERSE Mega Evolution is not limited to battles only: once a Pokémon is equipped with its Mega Stone and the player is wearing the Mega Bracelet, simply pressing the Y key will Mega Evolve it at any time.
Just like in a true Pokémon adventure Pokémon Centers, Poké Marts and even Department Storescannot be missing, offering everything you need to continue your journey safely: potions, Poké Balls, and much more.
Speaking of safety… we are, after all, on Minecraft, so zombies and creepers could be a problem… But not in COBBLEVERSE: here, the classic mobs are completely absent. The world is extremely peaceful, just like in the original games, but it’s still possible to encounter some aggressive wild Pokémon. The real “danger”comes from trainers, especially Team Rocket!
At this point, a natural question arises: how do you get mob drops if they don’t exist? And who are the new bosses, since the Ender Dragon doesn’t existanymore?
Mob items can be obtained both from wild Pokémon and villager vendors in the Department Storeswho offer a wide range of drops at affordable prices. For those who have always dreamed of becoming a PokémonBreeder, it is possible to create pastures where your companions can relax; in return, they will periodically release valuable loot.
As for theEnder Dragon, in COBBLEVERSE it has been replaced by an extremely angry Shiny Rayquaza. So scary!
But if you feel nostalgic for the classic dangers of Minecraft and want to see yourself and your Pokémon suffer, no problem: in the modpack, you can re-enable them with just a few clicks.
At this point, I hope I’ve convinced you, dear readers, that COBBLEVERSE is the Cobblemon-themed modpack you didn’t know you needed… but that is definitely worth trying at least once!
